Why Don't Aliens Introduce Themselves?

If you and I went on an African safari, we would be fully aware that many of the animals are wild, dangerous, and possibly deadly. We would keep a safe distance to cautiously observe them in their natural habitat in an attempt to learn more about their natural behavior in their native environment. We might photograph them and wish we could play with them, but we know the risks and dangers of interacting with species that are not like us. We observe with fascination and trepidation; knowing if there was danger one of our guides could pull out a powerful weapon and destroy them, but that's not our reason for being there. In most cases it's best if the animals don't know we are there. The few animals who are aware of our presence go ahead with hunting, eating, mating and napping, choosing to ignore us, but others are easily frightened or startled so it's best if we observe them while remaining unobserved ourselves.

People ask, "Why don't aliens land on the White House lawn?" "Why don't they stop in to chat with a live news crew?" Aliens who observe humans feel the same way as we would when observing a cheetah. Humans are dangerous and unpredictable when faced with something with which they are unfamiliar and usually react with fear. Much like humans on an African safari, aliens remain at a safe distance and prefer to observe us in our natural habitat. Of course they have weaponry that could destroy us but that is not their reason for being here. They want to understand us. They want to learn about us. They want to eventually befriend us.

Just as there are some wild animals who have bonded with selected humans, there are some aliens who have bonded with certain humans. There are many more human/alien connections than we may realize. Some of those humans are in too much denial to respond; some are too fearful to reply; others have a wary relationship with aliens but admit that to no one. I was the latter for most of my life but now it is time for me to step forward and tell others what I know, what I've learned from a lifetime of alien friendship.
