Mercury

As I prepared my book manuscript for submission, I checked astrological influences. For best results I wanted to be certain that the moon was waxing and that Mercury was not retrograde. A waxing moon, that time when the moon is growing from new to full, is an ideal time to embark on new adventures, begin new projects, or apply for employment. Mercury, being the planet of communication, offers the best astrological influence while it's direct. When retrograde, Mercury can play havoc with communication difficulties, lost paperwork or mail, broken leases, etc.

Mercury, the Roman god of communication, commerce, and travel, wore winged golden sandals to carry him on his journeys. In modern times he oversees computers in addition to his traditional duties. When his ruling planet is retrograde, or appearing to go backwards in its path, there can be all kinds of delays and problems in those areas he represents.

As I researched moon phases and Mercury's activity, I was told in a distinctly humorous tone that our moon and Mercury do not affect the aliens in any way; it is only retrograde as viewed from our Earth. They had already told me the only manuscript submission I needed to make was to Ozark Mountain Publishing, and now they were saying that apparently the timing of the planets and moon phases, which I had taken into account for years regarding important matters, were of no significance in regard to their plans. Human plans yes, matters related to Earth such as gardening yes, but not when something is being orchestrated by my alien friends.

They then reminded me that the most important aspect in this regard was my intention, positive intention. Focusing on negative outcomes will bring negativity into any situation. Focusing on positive outcomes brings favorable outcomes. The outcome may not be exactly what we have planned but there will be an effect. There are Universal Laws which govern such things, and the Universe can be quite impersonal and literal when it answers requests.

The aliens then brought to mind the “the mercury” situation. When my daughter was 16 years old she became very ill. After a lot of misdiagnoses it was determined that she had had a bad reaction to the metals in some amalgam dental fillings. She underwent intravenous chelation, followed by several visits to a dentist to have the metal fillings removed and replaced with composite fillings. During this time she was very ill and I was concerned about the mercury in the amalgam fillings. I kept thinking “we must get rid of the mercury.”

My car, a Mercury Tracer, broke down irreparably at that time and we felt it was time to sell it.

About two weeks after that decision, I got an early-morning phone call from the storage lot where we kept our boat. The outboard motor had been stolen right off of the back of our boat. Our Mercury boat motor.

We certainly "got rid of the Mercury." All of it. My daughter got better, we sold the car, bought a new boat motor and, with the help of some wise-ass aliens, I had been introduced to the power of intention.

The moral of the story here, and what the aliens reiterated to me years later as I prepared my book manuscript, is that our intentions are a powerful force. It is important to remain positive even in the face of seemingly negative situations. There is often more at play than the reality we are able to see at the time.
